About The Founder

Born in  Lancashire, UK, Ebrahim Noray graduated from Middlesex University with a Masters in Human Resource Management.  He started his journey working for Hays and Michael Page in London and Manchester respectively.  Here he managed and set up various business streams/desks covering roles in the construction sector.  In 2010, Ebrahim made the move to the UAE and has never looked back.  Here he started his in-house journey working for a leading Engineering and project management consultancy, KEO in Abu Dhabi, before embarking on his biggest adventure by working for one of the most progressive master developers and investment companies in the region Meraas. As the Head of HR for Meraas he was pivotal in the growth of a variety of their business verticals from a people perspective.  When he joined the business in 2013 it was in the start up phase, containing only 250 people across the whole organisation.

In the 8 years he was there, the business grew to a circa 3500 employees.  Here he covered all areas of HR from Recruitment, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Organizational Design, Organisational Development and Performance Management.  Leading a fantastic team of HR Business partners, Ebrahim managed to deliver on all the organisations people strategies for the designated business units, which when he started contained approximately 20 people with no assets.  By the time he left, there were several high-profile prestigious assets and destinations that were being managed operationally containing over 1000 employees across the respective business verticals.  He oversaw the entire employee lifecycle from construction through to operations for the following projects along with all the major transformations and restructures.

After Leaving Meraas, he moved into the Healthcare industry, Heading up the HR function for Salma Children’s Long term Rehabilitation Hospital, where he assisted and led the hiring of key senior team members, along with setting up many systems and processes. This had the benefit of reducing the time to hire and driving the diversity agenda within the nursing team forward.

Some words from our founder

“Firstly, thank you for taking time to read my credentials.  It’s important that both candidates and prospective clients get a deeper understanding of what Talent gENie can bring to the table.  We see the fine balance that organisations seek to strike, being people centric but always looking to become more efficient and effective. Assisting in achieving this fine balance is where we can help and this is the reason I founded Talent gENie.

Why the name Talent gENie I hear you ask?!  Well like all good gENies we make your business’s wishes come true, connecting great talent to great opportunities.

Over the years I have built a great network of professionals, from C-Level through to managerial, covering a wide variety of industries.  I truly believe there is a place for all the great people that we represent and it’s our role and responsibility to match great people to like-minded organisations.  We will always be transparent and what you will always get from us is honest feedback on any project we take on.  I believe one of my greatest assets is understanding how orgainsations work internally and my greatest success is the track record of efficiency and effectiveness I have built.  I match a person through my network to a role with relative ease, in the long run saving a business both time and money.
